In order to meet legislative deadlines, both the House and Senate will be putting their respective budget proposals out next week. The dollar amount differences between the House, Senate and governor are not great, but the bills could look very different. The governor's budget did not make any General Fund reductions to state parks and trails and we anticipate the Legislature will also avoid making General Fund reductions to state parks and trails. We will let Action Team members know right away if that changes. General Fund budget reductions at a time when more and more Minnesotans will be using our parks and trails would be a travesty.
