Minnesota Parks and Trails Legacy Plan Public Workshop Series – Duluth Workshop

June 3, 2010 7:00pm

The Depot
506 West Michigan Street
Duluth, MN

One of the most important aspects of the Clean Water, Land and Legacy
Amendment passed in 2008 is the development of a framework to guide
future spending from the Legacy Fund for parks and trails. Essentially,
this is an opportunity for Minnesota—and Minnesotans—to decide how
important parks and trails are and to set priorities for projects of
regional or statewide significance. As a way of
collecting public input, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources
(DNR) and the Citizens League are hosting 16 regional workshops so that
Minnesotans can have an opportunity to provide input into a plan that
will guide how new money from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy sales tax
is used to ensure Minnesota's continued legacy of diverse parks and
trails throughout the state.
