On a final note, we must keep in mind that while Legacy Funding provides a major boost, it is not sufficient to meet all of the needs of Minnesota’s parks and trails. We will continue to face funding challenges. We must continue to look to the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) to provide funding for state park and trail land acquisition and we will be assembling a set of project proposals for consideration as a part of the 2010 Capital Investment bill.
