Getting there: From I-90, take State Highway 76 south for 24 miles, then take Houston County 1 west for 4 miles.

Join former Congressman and current Minnesota Court of Appeals Judge David Minge as he leads the Fifth Annual Bike Minnesota with Parks & Trails Labor Day weekend expedition. This unique adventure planned by Parks & Trails and Houston County will explore significant natural, historic and cultural sites in Southeast Minnesota’s scenic bluff country. Local experts will narrate your journey as you tour the communities and landmarks along the way. This year’s ride will be based at Beaver Creek Valley State Park (just west of Caledonia, MN) and will consist of three daily loop trips from the park. Riders will travel county roads, trails and quiet highways in the beautiful hill-country with charming towns, picturesque farms, quilt barns, rich forests, apple orchards, the Mississippi River and the Root River State Trail.

Register by July 31, 2009 to receive the early bird rate of $175 per person for the full event or $70 per person for a single daily ride. Beginning Aug. 1, 2009 registration will cost $185 per person for the full event or $75 per person for a single daily ride.
