(Nov. 3, 2006) - The Parks & Trails Council of Minnesota (PTCM) seeks to hire a Development Director, a Land Acquisition Manager and a part-time Membership Assistant. Development Director
The Parks & Trails is a 52-year-old Minnesota nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation with offices in downtown St. Paul. Parks & Trails is a statewide membership organization, with approximately 3,500 members. Parks & Trails is seeking an experienced professional to lead its development and membership programs. The Development Director will successfully develop and implement PTCM's fund development and membership efforts in support of sustained program growth. Primary focus will be on: (1) development and implementation of an annual fundraising plan; (2) development of a case statement that can be tailored for use in planned giving, special projects, major gifts and a capital campaign; (3) communications with various stakeholder groups in coordination with the communications director; (4) increasing group and individual membership in PTCM; and, (5) the supervision of the database manager and membership assistant and database policy and management. Land Acquisition Manager
The Parks & Trails is a 52-year-old Minnesota nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation with offices in downtown St. Paul. Parks & Trails is a statewide membership organization, with approximately 3,500 members. Parks & Trails is seeking an experienced professional to lead its land acquisition program. The Land Acquisition Manager will successfully develop, plan and implement land acquisition efforts working in conjunction with Parks & Trails' land acquisition committee, executive director, board, PTCM staff, volunteers, affilaited groups, partner organizations, government agencies and consultants. Primary focus will be on: land acquisition planning and mapping; (2) coordinating with volunteer project managers and attorneys, park and trail groups and government agencies; (3) working with land acquisition committee, board and project managers to facilitate land acquisitions; (4) providing land acquisition information for communicaitons and fundraising; (5) developing a land acquisition policys and procedures manual; (6) representing and speaking on behalf of Parks & Trails and its mission, vision and programs, focusing on land acquisition, at meetings with groups and individuals; and, (7) providing staff support for the land acquisition committee. Membership Assistant
This Membership Assistant supports the Parks & Trails membership program, ensuring timely response to member communications. Duties will include answering information requests, accurately entering membership data (including income) and preparing and mailing written acknowledgements, and making timely bank deposits.
