    ST. PAUL, MN – Today Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointments to the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission.

    Over the course of the next two decades the commission will set criteria and provide advice to the Governor and Legislative leaders for projects seeking financial investment from the Parks & Trail Legacy Fund, initiated by the Clean Water, Land & Legacy Amendment.

    The Secretary of State's office recently announced that the application process is open for the thirteen appointed positions within the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission (GMRPTC). This is the first appointment for the newly created GMRPTC and represents an opportunity to help shape the work of this group.
