Overview

This day-long regional workshop will offer the opportunity for friends group members to network with and learn from each other. Discuss topics like membership, outreach, project planning, advocacy, and fundraising.

A light breakfast and lunch will be served. Drinking water and coffee will be available.

Limited Scholarships Available

The group discount is available to groups of 3+ people from the same friends group. All participants must register at the same time in order to qualify for the group discount.

Logistics

Accessibility

The meeting space and restroom facilities are handicapped accessible.

Meeting Space

The meeting room at the Jacob Brower Visitor Center provides the indoor gathering space for this event. Participants will be situated around tables and sitting on chairs.

Park Entrance

Each vehicle entering the state park is required to have a state park daily or annual pass. Daily passes can be purchased at the park entrance for $7. Annual permits can be purchased at the park entrance or online for $35.

Parking

There is a parking lot near the visitor center. Don’t forget to carpool!

Technology

Wifi is available in the visitor center.

What to Bring

  • If you chose the “pay later” option, bring a check or cash to pay for registration
  • Notetaking implements (paper, pen)
  • Money for a state park permit—if you don’t already have one
  • If joining the hike, bring a water bottle, snack, clothing appropriate for the weather, etc.
