This iconic species can only be found in the blufflands of southeastern Minnesota and was listed as threatened in the state of Minnesota in 1996. We’ll discuss the timber rattlesnake’s life history and habitat use, its status in Minnesota, and research and recovery effects conducted over the last few decades by the Minnesota DNR.
